We now offer the option to OCR import business tax returns (1065 & 1120S) and the system will populate the business return data automatically into the system. Here's how it works.
First, go to your Client List and click on the purple Portal icon
Next, click on the Companies section in the left navigation bar
Click Add Company and complete the details about the business
Important! You must complete the Ownership %, Owner Name, Business Type and Specified Service Business option for the OCR option to be enabled.
Once business data is complete, you will see at the top right of this screen an option to click on the purple button called Upload Return File
Select the file from your computer or drag and drop it into the uploader section
Once your file is uploaded, you will be prompted to click the Review button next
Next, the system will work to organize the pages and input the data from the return. This process can take a few minutes
Once the processing is complete, you will see the data has populated in the portal with a side by side image of the uploaded return. This allows you to review and change data. When you are ready to approve, click the Approve File button at the top right of the screen.
